About us
WOLOHO – Work. Love. Home.
At WOLOHO, we believe that real connections change everything. In a world that’s often divided, we stand for unity, respect, and mutual support—whether you’re looking for the right job, the love of your life, or a new home.
A job is more than a paycheck. An encounter can be more than a match. An apartment is more than four walls. We’re about the bigger picture: real people, real relationships, real opportunities.
That’s why we personally review every listing—no algorithm, no bot, just common sense. Our community agreements are our promise to you: a fair, safe space without discrimination, where skills matter, not origin or background.
Together, we’re shaping how we work, love, and live tomorrow.
Our Mission
WOLOHO didn’t start with a business plan, but with pasta. In 2008, our founder Reza invited friends to his Berlin apartment—casual evenings that quickly became a meeting point for creative minds. People celebrated, networked, found apartments and jobs. From these connections, an idea was born.
What began as a manually maintained email list became an insider tip for apartment and job seekers in Berlin—known as Sherlock Homes and Watson Berlin, soon with over 10,000 subscribers.
In 2012, it became WOLOHO. On February 8, 2013, the first letter went out. Since then, what started as a project among friends has grown into a worldwide community with nearly 100,000 members—not through big campaigns, but through real recommendations, real help, real connections.
For that, we are endlessly grateful.
Our team
Rana Memari
Rana has been the face behind the Love and Home letters since 2019. She believes that genuine togetherness is possible—and works daily to help people live worry-free, fulfilling lives. With a background in advertising, event management, hospitality, and spirituality, she brings a special versatility to the team.
Reza Memari
Reza founded WOLOHO from a simple conviction: that people can be there for each other. What began nearly two decades ago as a volunteer initiative—Sherlock Homes & Watson Berlin—remains his passion project today. Alongside his work as a screenwriter and director for animation and games, WOLOHO is more than a platform for him: it’s a source of hope—despite everything that has changed in Berlin, the world, and his life.
Gus
Gus is a Tollerdoodle—a Poodle-Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix—and he’s all in. He keeps Reza awake, entertained, and consistently wrapped around his paw. No one at WOLOHO has resisted his irresistible charm. And honestly, we don’t want to.
Mia
Mia is Rana’s Labrador—and anyone who meets her immediately understands why she’s part of the team. Her joy is contagious, her nature thoroughly loving. She brings warmth to every room and makes sure there’s always someone smiling at WOLOHO.
